Paul provides a range of corporate services to various clients.  These services include researching and writing reports; ghostwriting articles and arranging their publication; writing press releases; speech writing; providing expert advice on internally produced reports; and media training.

  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants: Paul has a long relationship with ACCA, which has involved him writing for many of its publications.
  • University of Manchester: Paul was engaged in 2014 and 2015 to commission and edit blogs for the Policy@Manchester website.
  • UNISON: Paul has written a series of reports on the privatisation of public services for UNISON. These led to extensive media coverage.
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants: Paul has ghostwritten several articles for CIMA.
  • Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy/Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales: Paul produced a monthly digest of key developments in public sector accountancy.
  • Accountancy firms: Paul has written reports for Deloitte and KPMG, contributed regularly to EY’s Capital Insights magazine and was news editor of Menzies’ client magazine.
  • The Audit Commission: Paul wrote a series of detailed case studies of best practice in local government for the Commission.  He also conducted a review of internally generated reports and proposed improvements to report writing practices.
  • British Standards Institution: Paul has written several reports and case studies for BSI.
  • Improvement & Development Agency: Paul was the lead contractor in providing best practice guidance for local authorities in their improvement work.
  • Farmers for Action: Paul wrote a report for FfA on the financial problems hitting Northern Ireland farmers.
  • Participation and the Practice of Rights: Paul wrote a report for PPR on the opportunities to finance social housing development from pension funds.
  • Public bodies: Paul has written a range of reports and articles for public bodies, including the Department of Health, the Central Office of Information; Partnerships UK; the World Health Organization; the East Midlands Development Agency; and Regeneration East Midlands.

  • Singularity (now Kofax): Writing case studies.
  • The Londonderry Chamber of Commerce: Paul writes press releases and ghostwrites articles for the Chamber, as well as providing media training.
